The Mockins Extendable Roof Carrier was designed with your convenience in mind! The heavy duty rust resistant steel basket extends from 43 to 64 inches in length, supports a hefty 250 lbs of cargo and offers a number of tie down options for your convenience. The basket can be used with or without the 16 cubic foot waterproof cargo bag, to further protect your luggage from rain, snow, sand and bird droppings. Simply secure the basket to your vehicle’s crossbars, using the provided u-bolts and choose between the water-resistant ratchet straps, bungee net or a combination of both to secure your load. The provided bungee net is manufactured using 6mm thick cording and has 4×4″ mesh holes and tight joints to keep your cargo securely in place throughout your drive. It measures 20″x36″ and can be stretched to 40″x84″ to accommodate loads of various shapes and sizes. The water resistant, heavy-duty polyester ratchet straps feature an extra strong, 3-cross-stitch sewing and were designed with rubber coated steel hooks and an easy release spring loaded latch for durability and ease of use. The car top bag features a velcro secured, 2″ zipper flap and welded seams to ensure water does not seeps through while in transit, and four side handles to help maneuver the bag while loading/unloading. The set also includes a bag lock to help prevent theft and a carry bag to facilitate space-saving storage of your soft-shell, abrasion resistant vinyl cargo bag.
